37 73

The group exhibition “37 73” is conceived as an open and process-based format that explores the potential of urban fragments, marginal spaces, and fictional narratives. The invited artists, Tomislav Hršak, Mihael Klanjčić, and Niko Mihaljević, in their artistic practices demonstrate an interest in the deconstruction and reconsideration the fundamental principles of artistic exhibition, as well as the reuse and recontextualisation of materials and space. The collaboration between the three artists is primarily conceived as a space in which ideas and thought processes are central to the work, while the artworks presented across the two exhibition locations are articulated as a spatial intervention, a trace of artistic action, and pseudo-archival objects. As part of the second segment of the exhibition, a limited edition of printed works by the artists will be available at Klet, realised in collaboration with the printing collective Smak Press as a meta-reflection on the process, recording the flow of ideas, interventions, and contingencies.
The project “Untitled (Working Title)” is realised in collaboration between two associations connected through artistic practice, garage-based spaces, and almost identical addresses. The Kamba-Klet collaboration is conceived as a temporally and spatially elastic structure, open to unpredictability and collective decision-making, as well as an attempt to reconsider and shape new forms of space within contemporary cultural practices.

The author and curator of the project is Sara Mikelić.
