Garaža Kamba

Šimun’s three triptychs exhibited in Kamba Gallery is a continuation of his works from the previous series of Melancholy and The Omen from 2017. Atmospheric images tend to achieve stimulus from the previous two cycles. Bright colors continue to have primacy in Tolić’s triptychs, although the materiality of the paintings has been replaced by a smooth, pure color. Thematic paintings depict dystopian mystical landscapes. Spontaneity and experimentation during the creation process remain important elements in author’s creative process.
