ARTY PARTY: Good, bad, evil + Melita and the Lesbian Monkeys

Arty Party is the name of a pop-up curatorial initiative promoting the presentation of students and young artists without introducing systems of hierarchy or favoritism toward specific artistic expressions. The initial phase of Arty Party involved exhibiting all submitted works, while recent editions addressed the technical and ideological challenges of presenting authors in group exhibitions.
The 8th anniversary edition takes place for one night at the pop-up gallery KAMBA. In this edition, Arty Party offers an exhibition space to young authors who will present themselves with reproductions. Participants select one of three available categories: THE GOOD, THE BAD, THE UGLY. The ability to choose ironically critiques the categories, as the artist is forced to fit into one of them.
The absurdity of this selection raises the question of when an artist loses control over the category into which their work is placed and whether they play any role in the presentation of their own work.
Truth will be projected.
