Anatomy of transience

If we separate ourselves from our urban lives, we will notice that almost everything around us is alive. We have imposed human life as a normative value, as a way of interpreting, as a definition of the past. Yet, human experience and time, are transient anatomies, an inherent part of nature with over-prescripted significance. This photographic installation is interested in nature as an elusive and universal phenomenon that acts as a kind of idea, broad and pervasive, as a thin line between persistence and immutability. It is attracted to temporality and transitory from the human, i.e. permanence and transformation from the natural position. The question and approach to time and documenting are its main forces. By capturing the past moments of the nature’s vitality: animals, plants, people, the past is recorded. That what we’ll interpret as necessary, as completed, as dead. Though, the nature is not burdened with current and present; hours, details, experiences, to it, it doesn’t mean much. In its infinity, it exists time and again, decays and begins. The human experience for it is just a fleeting, mild breeze that passes by. Histories, majestic or modest, aren’t even a diary note. It lives because it is, not to list, to speak. Nature in these photographs is the same as photography itself, a silent presence in time. An idea and a reality that flows without moving. Here captured moments are only witnesses of our view of the mortal that nature observes as well as everything else of essence – as another in a series of changes that reflect the completeness, cyclicality and permanence of its truth – immanence.
