HAPPINESS OF OTHERS

When the happiness is interpreted, it is ironic how the lack of its existence becomes the focal point; how it disappears, how it never came to be, or perhaps what should be had to obtain it,
realizing, and at the same time, that at least in the moment, we do not have all the conditions to do so. In the absence of its tangibility, we often blindly follow the idea of pursuit for happiness: “Take this step and you will be happy, buy that thing and your happiness is guaranteed!”. Such a normative approach forges the architects of our own fortune, while simultaneously the main characteristics of happiness become materiality and finality, and the common denominator is the conscious individual. As human beings, marked by the social nature of our species, we define ourselves in relation to others, we exist in a complex network of beings, and yet the idea of searching for happiness devoid of others becomes a dominant force: the conscious incarnation of man becomes an artificial construct.
